It's a big day in Toronto with this morning's official debut of Momofuku Noodle Bar, the first of four concepts the Momofuku empire has long been planning next to the Shangri-La Hotel. On the scene for the momentous occasion, The Star's Raju Mudhar reports that while there was a surprisingly small line of folks waiting to get their pork buns and ramen on, the dining room filled up quickly enough all the same.
While the Noodle Bar is walk-in only, the Momofuku team also announced that they're accepting reservations for Sh?t?, which will offer a 10-course tasting menu for $150 per person. That concept is scheduled to open on September 22, according to the Momofuku Twitter. But what of the empire's other projects headed to this glass cube of a three-story building? Stay tuned.
