Tucked into a caption in the latest issue of New York magazine is the claim that the anonymous Twitter parody mashup thing Ruth Bourdain is Village Voice critic Robert Sietsema. It reads: "Ruth Bourdain (aka Voice writer Robert Sietsema)."
This is not the first time Sietsema has been identified as the person behind the Beard award-winning published author that is Ruth Bourdain: Back in October 2011, Lee Svitak Dean over at the Star Tribune said that Sietsema was Ruth Bourdain. And Sietsema denied it, telling Eater: "I could do better humor wise. And don't forget Ruth was my patrón." Does someone at New York magazine have insider info, or are they just messing with everyone?
