The UK's Guardian announced Marina O'Loughlin as its new restaurant critic today (she was previously with the Metro in London). A rarity in the London critic scene, she is famously anonymous, and according to the Guardian, "[s]he will maintain her anonymity." See this 2006 Guardian piece in which she said, "I absolutely, firmly believe that it makes a huge difference being incognito." Apparently it drives "restaurateurs crazy." O'Loughlin is also very active on Twitter. [Guardian]
