A Treme Cookbook Is Coming in 2013

Sure, why not: according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Chronicle is coming out with a cookbook based on HBO's Treme sometime in 2013. Written by Lolis Eric Elie, Treme: Stories and Recipes from the Heart of New Orleans will feature a foreword by Anthony Bourdain (who writes restaurant scenes for the show) and will be written from the point of view of character Janette Desautel, who is a chef. Desautel's backstory is that she "worked" at Brigtsen's, Emeril's and Gabrielle in New Orleans, and the book will contain recipes from those restaurants as well as recipes from various other characters from the show.

Another cookbook based on an HBO show, True Blood, is about to come out, so it seems this is a thing they're doing now. Season three of Treme premieres September 29.
