Get ready, Siberia, because you're finally getting some McDonald's. According to the Voice of Russia, McDonald's only has locations in Western Russia right now, but that's about to change when Siberia gets "at least ten" locations. The first will be in Krasnoyarsk, and McDonald's is looking for locations in Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Tomsk and Novokuznetsk as well.
Siberia doesn't have many fast food chains — the only global chains with locations there currently are Subway and KFC. Apparently KFC paved the way for other chains when it opened in Siberia in 2002 and proved that Siberians love a good drive-thru. There are currently 324 McDonald's in non-Siberian Russia.
