First Look: The Officially Official True Blood Cookbook

Here's the sexy vampire cookbook you've been waiting for: True Blood: Eats Drinks, and Bites From Bon Temps by Gianna Sobol, Alan Ball and Karen Shalett comes out September 5 from Chronicle (pre-order on Amazon). So what kind of recipes do vampires make? Mostly drinks, actually, and a lot of the drink recipes in the book actually call for Tru Blood, the fictional brand of artificial human blood from the series. Don't worry, the book provides a recipe for a blood-colored substitute. You know, for squeamish humans or whatever.

The whole thing is full of groaning, dad-type puns — like "Stake and Eggs" and "Another Dead Chick-en Sandwich" — and plenty of glossy stills from the show. Also, please to note the vampire fang-friendly forks on the cover. Here's the trailer:
