Last night chain restaurant trendspotter Jon Stewart took on the politics of chain restaurant CEOs: After Papa John's John Schnatter declared that Obamacare had the potential to raise pizza prices by up to 14 cents, people (news pundits) were horrified. Said Stewart, "You mean I'm gonna pay an extra 11 to 14 cents so the guy who makes my pizza can get antibiotics to keep him from hacking up lung tissue onto my pizza? Outrageous." Or, you know, maybe the price of pizza is going up because of "this summer's crop killing, earth scorching, drought of biblical proportions." Either one.
