This morning, news broke that NYC chef Michael White signed the lease on the former Centolire space on the Upper East Side. Florence Fabricant reports that it's going to be a high-end sister establishment to Osteria Morini called Ristorante Morini. The goal of the Altamarea Group, White's parent company, is "to establish restaurants in three categories" and expand outward. A Washington, DC version of Osteria Morini is planned for next year.
