Mind-bending morning news: Actress/culinarian/newsletter huckster/cleanse practitioner Gwyneth Paltrow is rumored to be cast in the lead role of the film adaption of NYC chef Gabrielle Hamilton's award-winning memoir Blood, Bones and Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Paltrow is "in negotiations" to star in the film.
Hamilton is the chef/owner of the celebrated New York restaurant Prune, and her 2011 memoir was incredibly well-received. Paltrow is perhaps best known in the food world for being on the cover of Bon Appetit and her cookbook My Father's Daughter, full of "lofty crypto-macrobiotic lecturing" and lines like "One evening when I had my wood-burning stove going I realized I hadn't thought of dessert."
