Doug Guller, breastaurateur and owner of the Austin, Texas-based chain Bikinis Sports Bar, bought the ghost town of Bankersmith, Texas off Craigslist and renamed it Bikinis, Texas. Sure, why not. The town is sort of near the towns of Fredericksburg and Luckenbach, but it's mostly in the middle of nowhere. As of right now, it consists a single building which used to be the general store/post office. Oh, and a 1950s Skyliner cruise bus that's "growing into the ground."
So what's he going to do with it? Guller told Eater Austin, "We want it to be a big playground" and mentioned plans for camping grounds, a dance hall, and the town's own currency: Bikinis Bucks. Guller also said, "We may look into doing the most bars per square foot." Best of luck, Guller.
