Last week, the on-demand car service Uber announced that it would be providing on-demand ice cream trucks for a day, across multiple cities, to users using the app. The folks at Fast Company decided to test it out in New York City, and it didn't go so great. "Call it a lesson in the pitfalls of modern marketing or just how not to do an ice cream social," they concluded of their day spent trying but failing to get a truck to swing by. Others, however, were a bit luckier. [Fast Company]
