Uber Introduces On-Demand Ice Cream Trucks For a Day

Photo: Uber / Facebook

Tomorrow (Friday, July 13), on-demand car service Uber won't just be picking people up and driving them around, they're also providing an on-demand ice cream truck service. Basically, you just download the app, press the ice cream button, and they bring you a bunch of ice cream. Your mileage may vary: New Yorkers will get Cool Haus ice cream sandwiches and Van Leeuwen artisanal ice cream, while most other cities get your standard novelty treats. Bomb pop anyone?

Anyway, five ice creams and some swag will run you $12, and you have to live in Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, or Washington, DC to get the deal. Below, a video promo.
