Disneyland Paris is building a Ratatouille theme park ride. Part of an expansion of the park's Toon Studio area, most of what is known about it comes from rumors: it will open in 2014, supposedly has a working title of "Ratatouille: Kitchen Calamity," and will likely have a restaurant attached. (Naturally.)
Also, it will be what's known in amusement park circles as a "dark ride," in which riders take a train or other guided vehicle through a fully enclosed space and look at stuff. Think Disney's It's a Small World ride, or the classic Tunnel of Love.
Rumors of the ride started in 2009, but the thing is actually being built right now. The area outside the ride is already transformed into a fake-Parisian street, with tiny little Remy-the-Rats emblazoned on the park benches and a bust of Chef Gusteau attached to a stone arch (that turns into a blue plastic barrel of monkeys for the Toy Story area as you walk through it).
