José Andrés to Move DC's Minibar to a Less Mini Space

Minibar photo: District 365

After José Andrés closes his Washington, DC restaurant America Eats Tavern, what will happen to Minibar, which was housed in the same space? It will move a few blocks away to a slightly larger space that fits three tables for sixteen seats total (up from Minibar's current six seats). It will open in three or four months, but first the Minibar team is traveling, as Andrés tells Eater, "To Denmark, to Marrakech, Morocco, and maybe Singapore." So, will they change the name from Minibar to Smalltables? Stay tuned.
