Chef José Andrés, who owns the Bazaar in Los Angeles, stopped by CNN to discuss California's forthcoming foie gras ban, which goes into effect July 1. He thinks California's legislators should have looked into the process of raising fowl for foie gras a little bit deeper: "Come on guys: if you're going to be moving forward something, you have to have all the knowledge." He also calls the ban "something kind of very dark," and wonders whether it will lead to further bans on other types of meat.
