'Food Chain': Paula Deen's Competition Cooking Show

Grease queen/pharma shill Paula Deen is teaming up with the television production company Zodiak USA and shopping around a half-hour new cooking competition/gameshow called Food Chain. It's a knockoff of what appears to be the Italian network La7's popular series Cuochi e Fiamme (website) that's sort of a mashup of Chopped and Iron Chef. In the show, "[t]wo amateur chefs have their cookery skills tested to the limit" for a cash prize, hooray.

And according to Variety, Deen and Zodiak are meeting with television executives to sell the series. So apparently not the Food Network, Paula Deen's original home. Anyway, here's a promo clip for Food Chain from Zodiak and a clip of the original Cuochi e Fiamme.
