Washington Post critic Tom Sietsema on anonymity: "While I try to eat under the radar, it's not easy. But that just makes me work harder to keep a distance from the people I cover. I don't socialize with any chefs or restaurateurs, for instance, nor do I attend events where I might encounter them... Anonymity is nice, but it's not essential.
