Drew Magary over at Gawker is sort of not a fan of restaurant critics. Calling them "worthless," he writes: "There are only three people who can afford to eat at a place like Le Bernardin: Rich assholes, food critics, and other chefs who run other restaurants that only serve rich assholes, food critics, and other chefs... Does this review really need to exist? Does it provide any public service? Food critics exist on a never-ending gravy train that, at its core, offers NOTHING to the reader at large." [Gawker]
