YouTube Food Channel, HUNGRY, To Launch In July

YouTube's food-centric channel, a part of Google's plan to take over every last electronic inch of the universe launch "roughly 100 channels of niche-oriented programming" that was announced back in January, will be called HUNGRY. And HUNGRY is coming for your dicking-around-at-work time starting July 2nd. Former Food Network executive Bruce Seidel jumped ship to join YouTube for the project and talks to the Associated Press today about the new channel:

At launch, videos will stick mostly with YouTube convention, running one to three minutes, with new episodes posted weekly. Seidel said they also are eager to explore longer format videos. By the end of the summer, the channel hopes to have close to a dozen series, all produced in partnership with multimedia studio Electus, which is responsible for the channel's content.
Cake maker Duff Goldman of Ace Of Cakes fame will help launch HUNGRY with his "sometimes irreverent variety show," Duff's Food World.
