Further solidifying his position as the dude-iest of dudes, Guy Fieri has signed on to drive the pace car in the upcoming Indianapolis 500 on May 27. Yes, the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives host will drive a 2013 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 — which a release indicates is "the fastest production car ever offered by General Motors" — rather than one of the zillions of classic cars he collects or, you know, that infamously stolen yellow lamborghini.
This is apparently Fieri's first time attending the race, explaining in a canned press release quote: "There are races and then there are races. And without a doubt, the Indy 500 is the race that I’ve always wanted to attend. And now, to be driving the Corvette Pace Car ? this is going to be unbelievable." Yeah dude. Un-be-lievable. Strong.
