Vintage Beer

shipwreck-beer-100.jpgFor those who have always craved some vintage, pirate-era beer, researchers in Finland are on the case. Having retrieved some bottles of 19th-century beer from a shipwreck at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, these crack scientists have discovered live lactic aid bacteria in the beer, meaning it possibly can be reproduced. The beer's tasting notes? "Hints of rose, almond and cloves." [LA Weekly]
