Eric Ripert Confesses Lifelong Love of Spam

OK, sure, so Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert had a big debate via Twitter yesterday in which they discussed whether one could use bad ingredients with good results. This prompted Ripert to make a startling admission: the fancy French chef has not only cooked with this canned, precooked meat, but he also found it "delicious." And how does a four-star chef work with Spam? Well, he explains, he prepared it with onion, garlic and other spices over an "open fire of dynamite batons" back in his military days. Sounds intense.
