Male restaurant customers are likely to tip more if their female servers are wearing red lipstick. It's science! Sociologists at the Universite de Bretagne-Sud in France studied 450 customers and seven waitresses over two months, finding that waitresses who wore pink, brown or no lipstick all fared worse, tip-wise, than their red-lipped colleagues. Blonds may have more fun, but the rose-lipped pay their rent on time. [NYP]
