Stephen Colbert on the Beefstate Governors & 'Pink Slime'

Stephen Colbert jumped into the pink slime fray last night, championing the efforts of Beefstate Governors like Texas' Rick Perry, Iowa's Terry Branstad, and Kansas' Sam Brownback. ("Incidentally, pink slime may contain traces of Brownback.") These are the heroes fighting the smear campaign against America's noble beef companies. ("Full disclosure: pink slime may also contain smear.")

Anyway, as always Colbert has his eyes on the economy, tweeting: "'Pink slime' may sound disgusting to you, but what about the millions of jobs for America's tripe-mongers and cartilage-gatherers?" Think about that next time you talk smack about pink slime.
