A Manhattan chef has won $1.6 million in a lawsuit against her former employer, who held prayer meetings at the restaurant, Maryann's, in an attempt to "cure" her of being a lesbian. Said the chef's attorney, "He thought praying might cure her of her sexuality, but she is someone who didn't need to be saved." [NYP]
