Jose Andres, Rene Redzepi Included in the Time 100

Time has announced their annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world, and this year, in addition to such luminaries as Louis CK, Jeremy Lin, Adele, Barack Obama, and Pippa and/or Kate Middleton, two major food world players are included: José Andrés and René Redzepi. Ferran Adrià dedicates an essay to Redzepi, writing that the Danish chef, who was on the cover of Time not so long ago, "is at the apex of the culinary world."

And Anthony Bourdain wrote up his friend Andrés, noting the DC-based chef's charity work and adding "that this gift of Spain to the U.S. is best known as a great chef with a portfolio of extraordinary restaurants in Washington, Los Angeles and Las Vegas is almost beside the point." Congratulations to both chefs.
