On April 17th, Wiley Publishing will foist upon the masses Food Blogging For Dummies. The author, Kelly Senyei, runs the blog Just A Taste and works at Gourmet Live. As for the book's 308 pages and sixteen chapters, it covers everything from finding your niche to branding to SEO optimization to photography. Here now, the best fifteen lines in the guide:

1) On blog consistency and frequency: "If I walk into any Starbucks in the world and order an iced grande half-caff skim latte, I know it will taste pretty much the same — in San Diego, in New York City, in Seville, in Budapest. Knowing what I'll get every time I order is what brings me back to Starbucks time and time again." (Part II, Chapter 6, p. 100)

2) On food writing: "If description is the grandfather of solid food writing, meet Grandma Show, Don't Tell." (Part II, Chapter 4, p. 68)

3) On words like delish, yummy, and scrumptious: "If and when I have used them, it's been sparingly, as a little 'delish' goes a long way." (Part II, Chapter 4, p. 67)
