mozza-175.jpgLos Angeles chefs cannot get book deals, whines cookbook writer Laurie Winer in LA Weekly, because the publishers are based in New York and LA is considered "like New York, only lesser." (Winer did get a book deal with an LA chef she was working with, but the offer was too low.) But some LA chefs — like Ludo Lefebvre (on his second book), Roy Choi, Nancy Silverton (just published her eighth, Michael Voltaggio, and others don't seem to have problems publishing.
