Here's an installment of the Hulu video series A Day in the Life (co-created by Morgan Spurlock) that focuses on chef/restaurateur/TV person Mario Batali. The basics: Batali's routine starts at about 7AM and ends at some point after midnight, a pattern he's followed since the mid-90s.

Using a chauffeured limo and a Vespa to get around Manhattan, he does a taping of The Chew, drops by Good Morning America to have a cook-off with Emeril Lagasse, meets with Dave Arnold about opening a quick service option at the Museum of Food and Drink, has a brainstorming session on the forthcoming Lupa Hong Kong (which apparently hasn't been announced until now?). He also makes stops at his restaurants Babbo and Del Posto. On all of the growth and expansion: "It never was deliberate."
