Here's a look at one of the more exciting releases this Spring, chef April Bloomfield's A Girl and Her Pig. As Bloomfield told Eater earlier this year, the book is a "thank you and a nod to the people who helped me become who I am today and the cook I am today." These people include everyone from Fergus Henderson, to the late London chef Rose Gray (to whom the book is dedicated), to Bloomfield's grandfather.

It is not, however, a straight-up memoir: this is every bit a cookbook as well. It includes recipes for all kinds of things: snacks cobbled together between services, nostalgic British favorites, and treats from Bloomfield's New York restaurants, the Spotted Pig, the Breslin, and the John Dory. A Girl and Her Pig is out from Ecco on April 10 (pre-order from Amazon). You can read an excerpt from the book here.
