Food trucks? Old and busted. The new hotness? Food-delivering unmanned aerial vehicles that take orders by iPhone. Please welcome the TacoCopter. This is probably fake, but when asked, the supposed co-founder of TacoCopter Dustin Boyer replied, "Yes, we're definitely real :) There are a number of technical and legal hurdles that our team is working through. If you're interested in pushing the boundaries of robotics and food please email jobs@tacocopter.com."
Using flying robotic drones, or "unmanned delivery agents," the service offers easy smartphone ordering, but alas, is in a private beta in the SF Bay Area only. Apparently a LobsterCopter is being developed for the East Coast.
