Gordon Ramsay Sues Montreal Restaurant For $2.75 Mil

Oh Gordon Ramsay, why can't you stay out of lawsuits? Now he's slapping a lawsuit on Montreal restaurant Laurier BBQ. Last month the restaurant, which had hired Ramsay on as a consultant back in 2010, severed all ties to the TV chef because he was "too busy to come to the restaurant" and hadn't been in since August. His name was removed from all signage and menus.

According to the Globe & Mail, Ramsay is now suing Danny Lavy of Laurier BBQ and his holding company for $2.25-million in lost license fees through 2016. And an extra $500,000 in damages for defamation (just for good measure).

The lawsuit also reveals what the regular payments to Ramsay were: $48,214 per month was the fee for "his name, likeness and recipes to the restaurant."
