Earning $8.5 billion in sales in 2011, Wendy's is now the second largest burger chain in the country. For the first time ever, the chain squeaked past Burger King, which earned a paltry $8.4 billion. Both were totally dominated by McDonald's, which managed to rake in $34.2 billion. [AP]
