Leah Chase Added to Portrait Gallery

Chef Leah Chase of the legendary Dooky Chase restaurant in New Orleans will have her portrait preserved for the ages in the National Portrait Gallery. The painting, by artist Gustave Blache III, depicts Chase slicing summer squash in the kitchen of her restaurant. [Times-Picayune]
