The steaminess in the room can likely be attributed to the fact that it's Round 1, Day 2 of Eater's Hottest Chef in America competition. Yesterday's Western Division contest was won by Seattle's Brian Walczyk, knocking LA's John-Carlos Kuramoto out of the running.
