Logan Warren of Geek on Call went to Starbucks armed with a coupon for any drink he wanted, and emerged with a beverage that valued at $23.60. He's claiming it's the "most expensive Starbucks drink in the world, ever." How did he get the price so high? One word: Trenta.
Attempting to order the Most Expensive Starbucks Drink Possible is not a new game, but Starbucks' year-old, massively gigantic Trenta cup size ups the stakes considerably. The $23.60 drink consisted of: "one Java Chip Frappuccino in a Trenta cup, 16 shots of espresso, a shot of soy milk, caramel flavoring, banana puree, strawberry puree, vanilla beans, Matcha powder, protein powder, and a drizzle of caramel and mocha."
But how did it taste? According to Warren, "Tolerable, but not good. Imagine a coffee-based health food smoothie that will put you in the hospital if you drink it all. That's how it tastes ? like Jillian Michaels with a touch of Chuck Norris." Also, he claims the drink has 1400mg of caffeine, which "If I drank this all at once, it would put me in the hospital." Your Starbucks is trying to kill you? Good thing he didn't actually have to pay for it.
