Following some recent blowback, Starbucks has agreed to pay a higher corporation in the United Kingdom to the tune of £10 million ($16,065,000) a year. The coffee chain and other multinational companies have recently come under fire for evading taxes by transferring revenue through countries with lower taxes. Starbucks has now promised to quit the transfers and stop claiming certain deductions in 2013 and 2014. [NYT]
