Todd English's Olives, Slammed

todd-english-chef-wanted-150.jpgHere's a pretty good takedown of Todd English's NYC restaurant Olives from the New York Daily News' Michael Kaminer. Calling it a "joyless brand extension," Kaminer writes: "For all the personality and passion here, Todd English might as well be Betty Crocker." The food is called "formulaic and tired," "committee-driven," and "dangerously close to T.G.I. Friday's territory." [NYDN]
