Yesterday, the FIG duo Mike Lata and Adam Nemirow christened The Ordinary, their new oyster and seafood hall in Charleston, SC. And people were hungry: the restaurant sold out of food before 10 p.m. Housed in a bank from the 1920s, the building itself is incredible, with 22-foot ceilings and 16-foot windows. According to Eater Charleston: "There's a 7-foot long raw bar with seats for six, and a long bar made from wood that was reclaimed from a truck bed circa the 1950s. The kitchen is tucked back in behind a vault door, a reminder that the vast and open building was once a bank." Also check out the menu.
