Domino's Founder Sues Over Obamacare's Contraception Insurance Requirements

New, 5 comments

Domino's founder Tom Monaghan is suing the federal government over his right not to pay for his employee's contraception. Monaghan, a devout Catholic, currently provides employees with birth control and abortion-free insurance, but, as the AP notes, "new federal law requires employers to offer insurance including contraception coverage or risk fines." The lawsuit argues contraception isn't health care but rather "a gravely immoral practice."

With this lawsuit, Monaghan joins his fellow pizzamonger/Obamacare-hater John Schnatter of Papa John's. Schnatter claimed the new health care policies would raise the price of pizza; the statement seems to have negatively impacted the public's opinion of his pizza chain.
