Decanter identifies the new primary investor in the Wine Advocate as Soo Hoo Khoon Peng, the founder of Hermitage Wines, a fine wine merchant based in Singapore. It's a little curious since Parker recently wrote that his new investors are "totally independent of the wine industry." The blogger Vincent Pousson also forwarded an email exchange which confirms the $15 million sale price and states that Soo Hoo will "command and control" the Wine Advocate. The plot thickens.
