Chef and media star Jamie Oliver talks to the Independent about his "secret life." Did you know that if Jamie Oliver could change one thing about himself it would be his hair because it is "mental" and not a PR-driven hipster-ish trademark? Anyway, Oliver was asked about a book that changed him, and that book was Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential. Until Jamie Oliver burned the book because Bourdain made fun of him." Quote:

I've never read a book in my life, which I know sounds incredibly ignorant but I'm dyslexic and I get bored easily. The one book I nearly finished was Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. But then the author came to Britain and didn't stop slagging me off for five years. So on principle I threw it on the fire. He's since apologised and we've made up. I should probably read the rest now.

Jamie Oliver: restaurateur, world-saving chef, publisher, father of four, costume fanatic, and burner of books.
