Viral superstar/Eater Award-winning critic Marilyn Hagerty has been in the restaurant review business for a long time — 30+ years — and she emailed Jim Romenesko her take on the media madness over the New York Times review of Guy Fieri's restaurant. She wrote: "The review is very interesting, but I wonder why a person would write a completely negative review. I don't know what is the point. I guess there are many ways of thinking!" Hagerty rocketed to fame back in March with her review of the Olive Garden in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Anthony Bourdain will be publishing a book that collects her reviews. And apparently now she is a noted media critic.
