November is here and there are plenty of food events taking place across the country and in major cities overseas. Here are some of the most interesting ones going down in the coming month, but do keep in mind that the offerings taper off around Thanksgiving. The docket for November includes a food truck party in Paris from Le Fooding (La Pompe à Bulles), a star-studded series of food events in Napa Valley (Flavor!), a festival on Hong Kong's harbor (Wine and Dine Festival), and a culinary film festival (Chicago Food Film Festival).

Celebrity Chef Tour
When: Various Dates
Where: Various Locations
What: The Celebrity Chef tour makes five stops in November (Boston, Minneapolis, DC, San Diego, and Nashville). The stand-out is perhaps the DC dinner, staged at Wolfgang Pucks' with chefs Spike Gjerde, Vikram Sunderam, Robert Wiedmaier, and Mike Isabella.

CIA Worlds of Flavor Conference
When: November 1 - November 3
Where: St. Helena, California
What: This year's rigorous, brainy, and impressive Worlds of Flavor conference centers around how chefs seek out and are influenced by the traditions of China, Africa, Southeast Asia, Japan, and the Eastern Mediterranean. The event aims to explore the culinary exchange between these regions and American kitchens, with events featuring noted academics, food professionals, and chefs.

Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival
When: November 1 - November 4
Where: Hong Kong
What: No big time chefs here, but the plethora of tastings and wine events, with a killer view of the harbor, make this a worthy event.

New York Taste 2012
When: November 5
Where: New York, NY
What: Despite Hurricane Sandy and provided power returns to Lower Manhattan before Monday, this forthcoming tasting event from New York magazine is still a go. It's a monster of an evening, held in a pier along the city's waterfront, that features bites from some of the city's best chefs. Among them: Dan Barber, George Mendes, Alex Stupak, and Seamus Mullen. General admission will run you $190, while a VIP ticket goes for $272.

Denver International Wine Festival
When: November 7 - November 10
Where: Denver, Colorado
What: A four-day festival in the Rocky Mountains that offers wine enthusiasts pretty much everything they'd need from a big production: vintner dinners, winery tours, tastings, and food and wine pairing competitions. The events are pretty spread out, so you could feasibly do it all, provided you've got plenty of cash to shell out.

Le Fooding's La Pompe à Bulles
When: November 9 - November 10
Where: Paris, France
What: The irreverent, hip folks at Le Fooding are shining a light on the food truck craze and some of its leading proponents by hosting this two-day event at the Station Beaux-Arts. There'll be porchetta, pizza, and soup, all served from stands and trucks. Tickets should be purchased in advance.

Food & Wine Chef Showcase
When: November 12
Where: Chicago, Illinois
What: The Museum of Contemporary Art will host this Food & Wine production which features bites from some of Chicago's great chefs, like Stephanie Izard, Bill Kim, Bruce Sherman, and Chris Pandel.

Music To Your Mouth
When: November 13 - November 18
Where: Bluffton, South Carolina
What: Films, bourbon tastings, demos, and even 5k races make up the program of Music To Your Mouth, which returns this year to the picturesque waterfront resort Palmetto Bluff. The lineup skews southern, with familiar names like Sean Brock, John Currence, Linton Hopkins, John T. Edge, Hugh Acheson, and Ashley Christensen running much of the show.

Flavor! Napa Valley
When: November 14 - November 18
Where: Napa, California
What: Larry Forgione, Christopher Kostow, and Scott Conant are among the many noted chefs taking part in the CIA's second annual Flavor!, which includes your typical food festival events, just in beautiful Napa. One of the stand-outs is a white truffle dinner that goes for a mere $325.

San Diego Wine and Food
When: November 14 - November 18
Where: San Diego, California
What: Sunny San Diego is the site of this festival, which celebrates local talents like Brian Malarkey and Matt Gordon, but also welcomes outsiders like R.J. Cooper and Gavin Kaysen. Events include a silent wine auction, a Julia Child dinner by Cooper and Katsuya Fukushima, and of course, a couple of grand tastings.

Chicago Food Film Festival
When: November 15 - November 17
Where: Chicago, Illinois
What: This food-related film festival was founded by George Motz and continues to pick up steam in New York, where it started, and at its Chicago staging. The Chi-Town version includes several events, like an evening hosted by Bon Appétit that includes screenings of shorts related to purveyors and farmers, with snacks and drinks as you watch.

Barbados Food & Wine And Rum Festival
When: November 16 - November 19
Where: Barbados
What: A small roster of star chefs (Marcus Samuelsson, José Garces, and Anne Burrell foremost among them) will take party in this beachy series of events, which includes tastings, demos, and seminars, many of them focused on rum and wine.
