The Closest Starbucks Is Never More Than 170 Miles Away

Blogger James R.A. Davenport has created this map of every company-owned Starbucks in the US (that is, the map does not show franchised locations, like those inside other businesses). According to Davenport's calculations, the farthest you can ever get from a Starbucks in the US is 170 miles. He also notes that over 80% of Americans live within 20 miles of a Starbucks. While it's no McDonald's — you can only get 115 miles from one of those in the US — that's still a whole lot of coffee shops.
