Last night, the CBS Evening News aired its broadcast from a restaurant in Allenhurst, New Jersey — and just narrowly escaped before Hurricane Sandy busted through the restaurant's windows. Here's a video in which anchor Scott Pelley talks to the local police chief about the hectic response to the storm, complete with before shots of waves crashing up against the restaurant's windows and after shots of the devastated dining room. Though the restaurant is not mentioned in the report, a virtual tour of Mister C's Beach Bistro appears strikingly similar and the restaurant's Facebook page did link to CBS. Here'e the video:
