Coffee megachain Starbucks opened its first branch in India on October 19th in downtown Mumbai (two more branches opened last week). The result: Lines of up to 50 people with waits of up to an hour. Explained someone who was waiting in line, "We have our own coffee brands but this one has had a lot of hype." [Guardian]
