Man Wielding Samurai Sword Robs Church's Chicken

New, 1 comment

A man wielding a samurai sword robbed a Kansas City, MO, outpost of Church's Chicken on Tuesday night. Local news station Fox4KC has the surveillance video of the robbery in which a man wearing a hoodie walks up to the chicken chain's counter with sword in hand and the other customers just kind of stand around seemingly unfazed. This is just the latest of perhaps a rash of samurai sword-related crimes, including a Las Vegas Dairy Queen robbery back in August.

Nobody was hurt and apparently the guy didn't get too much money before taking off in his brown two-toned Chevy, according to WTVR, whose anchor also speculates why one of the customers in the video didn't fight the samurai: "Because all he had was one of those little plastic knives. It's a fast food restaurant. It's Church's Chicken. You can't take on a samurai sword with a plastic knife. It's a spork." Here are the videos.
