Russell Norman's Secret Codes

Russell-Norman.jpgRussell Norman, the London restaurateur behind restaurants like Polpo and Spuntino on the "secret" codes used in his restaurants: "We never use VIP because it's so gauche and obvious. But we do have expressions like WKF for 'Well Known Face' - somebody that maybe has a public persona and might require a bit of discretion. We also use PLU: People Like Us. That means industry people or people we know. There are others as well." [GQ UK]
