Ex-New York City restaurateur Joshua Woodward has pleaded not guilty to four counts of attempted murder. Back in 2009, Woodward was arrested in Los Angeles because of "the suspicious circumstances of a miscarriage" his ex-girlfriend experienced. According to authorities involved with the case, Woodward allegedly gave the girlfriend the drug misoprostol, which is used in early-stage pregnancy terminations, without her knowledge.
Woodward was once a co-owner of the restaurant chains Table 8 and 8 oz. Burger with chef Govind Armstrong. Armstrong's publicist tells the Daily News that they're "no longer partners." Woodword faces possible life in prison if convicted.
